Book Tag: 3 Days 3 Quotes – Day 1

As you guys obviously see, I’ve been tagged to participate in 3 Days 3 Quotes by the lovelyย Alyssa Grace @ Serendipitous Reads! Thank you very much for thinking of me! โค

For a little time I was wondering how I would match this tag with the usual ‘Quote of the Week’ post I normally wanted to post this Friday. Like, this is a very good idea, and I love to be tagged, but 3 consecutive days of quote posts would take away all the attention from that other one.

Then it dawned on me: I don’t have to separate these, I can do them together! I simply choose one theme for my 3 quotes, and I use the first two as a lead up to the third and last one – which is going to be a mixture of the tag and my QOTW post. So easy!

So… the plan for the next 3 days: I decided to go with a loose theme of blogging/reading/writing. What it means to me, what I associate with it, in a sense.

Day 1 (a.k.a. today) is going to be about… FRIENDSHIP

Because this book blogging community is so amazing, and I really think we all can find real friends here among each other.

Day 2… struggles and beauties of WRITING

Because though it’s mostly talking about other people’s books, blogging is obviously a form of writing and expressing ourselves.

Then finally… Day 3 and the Quote of the Week: READING

Because there’s a quote I love that summarizes how I like reading and what I think about it… soooo, keep coming back, and you’ll find out what this favorite book-themed quote of mine is! ๐Ÿ˜€

So, let’s see the tag!

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote each day).
  • Nominate 3 new bloggers each day.

My Quote:

“There are some things you can’t share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them.”

J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I was thinking about this one a lot, there are so many quotes about friendship! But at the end of the day, most of them felt a bit pretentious compared to this one. It is simple and funny, yet it somehow makes you feel exactly that warmth under your skin that a budding friendship creates. I’m sure all of you already know this quote (it’s very popular, so I think it’s possible to stumble upon it even if you haven’t read HP – in which case: DO!), but this is something I’ve associated with friendship ever since I was about 7.

And sharing a love for books is one of these things, isn’t it?

I Tag

Kathy @ Pages Below the Vaulted Skyย โค

Anyssa @ BookedShelfย โค

What do you think? What is your favorite friendship quote (if you have one)?

Watch out for the other two days of my tag! ๐Ÿ˜‰
