Book Tag: Book Blogger Memory Challenge

Thanks so much to Bibi for tagging me!

This tag really sounds like an interesting one! I always like a challenge!

The Rules:

You must answer these questions without looking anything up on the internet and without looking at your bookshelves!!

The Questions:

1. Name a book written by an author called Michael.

Michael Curtis Ford: The Ten Thousand. It easily came to my mind, since it’s not so long ago that I read it. See my review here!

2. Name a book with a dragon on the cover.

Laura and the Curse of the Dragon Kings. This is my translation of the title, because as far as I know, this book has not been translated to English. It’s originally German, but I read the Hungarian translation when I was pre-teen/early teenager. It’s such a shame though, that it’s not on the English speaking market, I loved this series very much!

3. Name a book about a character called George.

Well, I’m pretty sure there are tons, but I can’t remember any. I’m dumb like that. ><

4. Name a book written by an author with the surname Smith.

Okay now, I really start to feel stupid… Why, this sounds like the most common name in the whole world. There’s no way I have never read a book by an author named Smith. Even less possible that I’ve never even heard of any.

But I just can’t. My memory is foggy. If I wasn’t only 24, I would start to be afraid that I’m showing symptoms for Alzheimer’s. (Okay, I wouldn’t. My grandma does that all the time when she forgets something. ‘Ah, signs of dementia!’ Nope. They’re not. She’s actually sharper than I am.)

5. Name a book set in Australia.

‘Looking for Alibrandi’ by Melina Marchetti. I don’t know why this is the one that came to my mind, I read it ages ago. I loved the Hungarian translation’s title better, though. It is ‘Pizza and Cappuccino’ and how awesome is that? These are two of my favorite things!

Take a peek at the Hungarian cover, too!

Képtalálat a következőre: „pizza és kapucsínó melina marchetta” (couldn’t find a better picture…)

6. Name a book with the name of a month in the title.

‘May Day’ by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Well, I actually read this one as part of a collection, so it wasn’t a separate book, but one including several short stories/novellas, but it exist in a book form in itself, so…

7. Name a book with a knife on the cover.

‘The Scarpetta Factor’ by Patricia Cornwell. I haven’t actually read this book yet, but I have some of Cornwell’s novels on my shelves. So I should. Or should have already.

I know. It’s not a knife. It’s a scalpel. That’s mainly the same thing. That’s the best I can do right now, okay?? It’s a sharp thingy.

8. Name a book with the word ‘one’ in the title.

‘One Very Odd Teacher’ by Robbie Yates. It was very easy, since I only read and reviewed it last week! For the review and a bit of info on the book and the author, click here!

9. Name a book with a eponymous title.

Hm… Let me see… ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Bronte.

10. Name a book turned into a movie.

‘The Hunger Games’ by Suzanne Collins.

Okay, as it turns out, my memory’s not very good… I’m wondering how was I able to finish university! 😀
