‘Incurably Unromantic’ by John Gillies

I enjoyed these poems very much!
Finally a collection of poetry that doesn’t only have substance, but it’s also a joy to my inner ears to “hear” the words, the rhymes out! It conveys a fun cynical, sometimes a bit skeptic or ironic take on life, all the while showing light to issues that us, individuals and society have – which is something I always appreciate. It made me think and laugh at the same time. There were only a couple of poems that weren’t a hit for me, most of them I felt a strong connection to.

I rated this book 4.5 stars.

I got this book from Matador via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Hugs 🙂
