‘A Warm Friendship’ by Ellen Delange, Jacqueline Molnár

43509144(Goodreads/Amazon)

A sweet picture book with adorable illustration and a very important lesson to teach.

I’m not a hundred percent sure, though, that it in fact works with actual little children. Can be, and I’m sure that with a couple of ones at least it does, but I’m not sure all little ones are already capable of completely getting it – and that would be the point.

I get the aim of the story, though, and I appreciate it. It’s supposed to teach little kids about passing away and letting go. It’s important to talk about, and especially hard to deal with it when we’re supposed to talk about it with kids. Since I don’t yet have my own little ones yet, I can’t be sure, of course, and I’m not an expert by any means, I’m simply a bit uncertain if this story would actually work for them.

It’s super cute, though, and I LOVE the illustrations.

I give it 3 stars.

I got this book from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
